Interested in Dragon Boating?

Want to get some exercise and have fun? Join our club and try Dragon Boating!

Joining the club is as easy as showing up for practice; we’ll let you get in the boat to try Dragon Boating out for at least 2 times for FREE. We love new paddlers!

The first step is to contact Gary Cumberland to ensure we are having practice the day you want to attend. Second, show up and get in a boat!

NOTE: we usually practice Saturday Mornings at 7AM or Tuesdays at 6:30PM.

Below are some good tips for your first visit:

Show up for practice at the Tempe Town Lake Marina wearing clothes that you would work out in and don’t mind getting wet.
Bring a bottle of water, a hat and sun screen for yourself, we will provide you a paddle and a PFD (personal flotation device) to paddle in.

If you love the sport and want to be a part of Dragon Boating, you will be asked to pay the AZDBA organization $100 for the first year of membership and it will be just $75 for yearly renewals and only $30 for students. Membership runs from June 1 – May 31 each year.

NOTE: We also offer prorated rates throughout the year, starting in November.
